The KCNT1 Epilepsy Foundation will be represented at the upcoming Developmental & Epileptic Encephalopathies: From Mechanisms to Action conference in Denmark—an international meeting bringing together leading experts in research, clinical care, and therapeutic development for DEEs.
We are grateful to have a KCNT1 parent ambassador, Sue Matzen, attending on behalf of the Foundation, reflecting the important role families play in advancing research and shaping the future of care.
The conference will explore:
- Phenotypic expression and clinical variability across DEEs
- Underlying pathophysiological mechanisms and molecular pathways
- Advances in targeted and individualized treatment approaches
- The role of genetic findings in guiding clinical decision-making
Speakers include leading clinicians and researchers such as Elena Gardella, Allan Bayat, Jean-François Perrier, and Alberto Cossu.
Participation in international scientific meetings like this helps ensure that the KCNT1 community remains connected to global research efforts and emerging therapeutic strategies.
